What this screener is

The tables below list the top 20 names in Stock Pixie’s tracked universe on two metrics: largest estimated market cap (Size leaders) and highest trailing 1-year total return (Return leaders). That is a research snapshot, not a recommendation to put 100% of capital in one stock.

How we backtested

We simulated the social-media rules on the same ticker universe using daily prices from our pipeline, aligned to SPY trading sessions:

  • Pareto 1: Each calendar year (first session on or after Jan 2), hold 100% in the single largest estimated market cap; signal uses the prior session’s close. Rebalance annually.
  • Momentum 1Y: Same schedule, but pick the name with the highest total return over the prior 252 trading sessions (not annualized CAGR).
  • Benchmarks: SPY buy & hold, and an equal-weight daily return across eligible tracked names (excluding leveraged symbols when configured).
  • Costs: Net results deduct 10 bps round-trip per switch (capped). Liquidity filter ≈ $1M average dollar volume.

To refresh numbers, run uv run python eval/top_performer_rotation_backtest.py --output eval/reports/top_performer_backtest.json and copy the JSON to dashboard/public/data/top_performer_backtest.json.
